Your security maintenance provider will thoroughly examine all aspects of your alarm system at the visit, checking that the individual components and the alarm are functioning. Any faults within the system will be identified and rectified.
The frequency of servicing visits will depend on the type of alarm system. Audible only (or bells-only) systems need servicing only once a year to ensure that all devices are working correctly. However, monitored systems require servicing at least twice a year to meet the terms of the alarm monitoring station service.
If your monitored alarm system qualifies for police response, you must use an accredited security company (either NSI or SSAIB) to carry out your burglar alarm maintenance.
